A nationwide hunt is underway for a black coloured powerful BMW car that was involved in a spate of burglaries across the country including County Tipperary.
The black BMW M5 was stolen in Ticknock in South County Dublin on April 5th. It has since been used by a gang in burglaries in counties Mayo and Galway as well as a number of counties across Munster and the South East
In county Tipperary, Gardai came under attack as they attempted to apprehend the gang as they robbed a shop in Newport.
Gardai have issued a wide alert for all units to be on the look out for the vehicle.
