Gardai in Tipperary Town arrested nine people in town over the course of St. Patrick's Day.
A man was arrested in connection with the brandishing of a machete in front of a member of the public at around 3am that night. He appeared in court in Thurles today charged with offences under the Offensive Weapons Act.
Two people were arrested for drunk driving while the remaining people for public order offences.
