Local Authorities in County Tipperary are set to clamp down on illegal dumping throughout the county this year.
Members of South Tipperary Council and Cashel Town Council in particular spoke of the ending of the waiver scheme for waste collection services and the impact it may have.
To address the matter of illegal dumping, councils are to monitor in more detail areas where there are greater instances of dumping. They are also asking the public to play their part and give councils any information they have relating to the illegal dumping of waste.
