The best of luck to Team Quasar from St Ailbie's in Tipperary Town, who are off to the exotic Abu Dhabi representing Ireland at the World Finals of the Formula One Technology Challenge.
The challenge is an international competition where students from schools around the world compete to design, build and market CO2 powered model Formula 1 cars.
The team comprises of Sinead Cummins (Team Manager), Maeve O'Gorman (Communications Manager), Gerard Barlow (Manufacturing Engineer), Megan Cleary (Resource Manager) and Owen Brennan (Graphic Designer). Teachers Sean Fitzpatrick and Michael Quirke were also involved.
The team will compete against national winners from 32 counties from around the world.
