Cuts to local authority budgets which are to reflect the non-payment of the Household Charge will be reviewed in September.
Fine Gael TD Tom Hayes has received clarification on the matter from the Enviroment Minister Phil Hogan.
The funding for South Tipperary County Council was reduced by €1.8 million under the measures, but Deputy Hayes has confirmed that the reduction is a suspension of monies and that the Minister will review the cuts in September to see if ther has been a significant improvement in the collection of the Household Charge
